At about 5:25 PM, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) officers responded to the area of Lucy Street and District Avenue for a report of over one hundred juveniles congregating in the area. Upon arrival, officers observed multiple juveniles engaging in fights, and throwing objects at people from the parking garage.
Officers advised the group to disperse from the area, however they only moved to a bus stop at 11 Allstate Road. Officers immediately observed a fight occur at the bus stop, and were quickly able to intervene.
While officers placed two 14-year-old juvenile males under arrest, a third suspect began to push at the officers. The suspect was advised to move back, which he refused, and punched an officer in the head. Officers quickly placed the 13-year-old juvenile male into handcuffs.
As the group began to disperse, officers observed a group of juvenile females refusing to leave the area. A 13-year-old juvenile female began shouting at officers and began to scream in an officers’ face. The officers attempted to guide the female out of the area which she then flailed her arms and struck an officer in the nose.
The two 14-year-old juvenile males were charged with Delinquent to wit; Affray, and Delinquent to wit; Disorderly Conduct.
The two 13-year-old juvenile male and female were charged with Delinquent to wit; Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, and Delinquent to wit; Disorderly Conduct. The juvenile male was also charged with Delinquent to wit; Resist Arrest.
All of the juvenile suspects are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
While still on scene, officers observed a 17-year-old juvenile male point a blue pellet rifle and pull the trigger. Officers quickly approached the suspect and disarmed the pellet rifle.
Officers then observed a 15-year-old juvenile female commit the same actions by pointing an orange pellet rifle at officers and pulling the trigger. As officers attempted to stop the female, the male suspect stepped in front of an officer and pushed him in the chest. The suspect was immediately placed into handcuffs, and the female suspect fled the scene.
As officers were conducting the booking process, the female suspect arrived at District C-6, where she was subsequently placed under arrest.
Both the 17-year-old juvenile male and 15-year-old juvenile female were charged with Delinquent to wit; Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. The male suspect was additionally charged with Delinquent to wit; Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, and Delinquent to wit; Resist Arrest. Both are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
