At about 1:33 PM, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District C-6 (South Boston) and District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested Anyel Bernabel, 30, of Roxbury, on drug trafficking charges.
Officers were conducting a drug investigation and execution of a search warrant in the area of 55 Dewey Street. As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered twelve plastic bags containing approximately twenty-two grams of Cocaine. Officers also recovered $1,260 in U.S. currency and a scale.
After further investigation, officers determined that the suspect provided a false identification during the booking process. Officers located a warrant for his arrest out of Roxbury District Court for Distribution of Class A.
Bernabel was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the following charges:
▪ Trafficking of Class B
▪ Arrestee Furnishing a False Name
