At about 11:49 PM, on Thursday, April 17, 2025, officers assigned to District E-18 (Hyde Park) arrested Nathaniel Wade, 34, Hyde Park, on home invasion and firearm charges.
Officers responded to the area of 1453 Hyde Park Avenue for a disturbance. Boston Police Operations advised officers that a suspect entered a victim’s home and pointed a gun at the victim. The suspect grabbed the victim’s keys before fleeing the area. Officers were quickly able to broadcast a description of the suspect and the involved vehicle.
An officer leaving District E-18 immediately observed the vehicle exiting from Winthrop Street onto Hyde Park Avenue. The officer began to follow the vehicle, and requested assistance with conducting a motor vehicle stop. The officer activated his cruiser’s emergency lights and sirens, and stopped the vehicle in the area of 1414 River Street.
Officers ordered the operator and passenger to exit the vehicle, and were immediately handcuffed. Officers conducted a pat frisk of the vehicle, and recovered a firearm from inside. The firearm was later determined to be a Smith & Wesson AirWeight .38 Special with five rounds in the cylinder.
Wade was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court for the following charges:

▪ Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm
▪ Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
▪ Armed Robbery
▪ Threats to Commit a Crime
▪ Witness Intimidation
