At about 10:39 PM, on Friday, April 11, 2025, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested Victor Baez-Lara, 33, of Dorchester, on firearm offenses.
Officers responded to the area of 800 William T. Morrissey Boulevard for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers were advised by Security officers that there was a fight in the parking lot and two vehicles fled the scene. Officers were told that one of the suspects made entrance into the hotel, and was followed by security.
Security officers located the suspect inside the laundry room area. As BPD officers searched the area, they located a firearm without a magazine hidden under towels. Officers also located approximately $7,000 in counterfeit money. The firearm was later determined to be a Sig Sauer P320.
Baez-Lara was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following charges:
▪ Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
▪ Possession of Counterfeit Note
Officers also determined that the suspect had an active warrant out of Hingham District Court for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
