At about 2:25 PM, on Friday, March 7, 2025, officers assigned to the Drug Control unit of District C-6 (South Boston) arrested Davien Fuentes, 22, of Revere, on firearm and drug offenses.
Officers were on patrol in the area of Virginia Street and Davern Street when they observed a motor vehicle parked in a handicap spot without a placard. Officers observed a male individual exit 24 Gavin Way and walked towards the vehicle. The male individual reached into the vehicle, and then immediately placed his right hand into his pocket to conceal an unknown item. The male individual walked back to the building, and the vehicle fled the area. Officers believed that a street level drug transaction had transpired.
Officers followed the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of 530 Columbia Road. Officers advised the operator that they were conducting a drug investigation, and observed multiple packages of marijuana inside a backpack. At this time, officers requested that the operator exit the vehicle.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, and recovered a firearm from underneath the driver’s seat. The suspect was placed into handcuffs, and the firearm was determined to be a Glock 26 with a large extended magazine containing twenty-seven rounds of ammunition. Officers continued their search and recovered twenty-two plastic bags of marijuana, and approximately $1,657 in U.S. currency.
Fuentes was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
