Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested Following Two Recent Bank Robberies

Investigation Update: At about 11:50 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Boston Police officers and detectives arrested Jeremy Woodley, 44, of Boston, in the area of Dalkeith Street and Howard Avenue. The suspect was arrested for Armed Robbery, and Fugitive from Justice. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incidents are as follows: At about 9:59 AM, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to the area of 1320 Washington Street for a report of a robbery in progress. Officers were advised that the suspect passed a note to a bank teller stating that he had a gun. No weapon was seen and the suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

At about 9:36 AM, on Friday, February 21, 2025, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to the area of 580 Washington Street for a report of a robbery in progress. Officers were advised that the suspect passed a note to a bank teller stating that he had a gun. No weapon was seen and the suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The Bank Robbery Task Force, and detectives assigned to the Special Investigations Unit, District A-1, and District A-4 began a joint investigation into these crimes. Detectives were able to use security footage from both incidents to determine it was the same suspect. Detectives were able to track the suspect to a location in Dorchester.
