Search Warrant Leads to Arrest, Recovery of Multiple Firearms, and 644 Grams of Drugs

At about 8:40 AM, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Sean Brown, 29, of Randolph, on multiple firearm offenses.

Officers were attempting to locate a suspect wanted for an active warrant in the area of 880 Cummins Highway. Officers knocked and announced their presence, but no one came to answer the door. Officers could hear movement inside the apartment, and after a few minutes, an individual opened the door.

Officers secured the outside of the building, and observed a discarded firearm inside of a bucket. After further investigation, officers were able to determine that an individual inside of the apartment had discarded the firearm upon officers’ arrival.

The suspect was placed into handcuffs, and the apartment was secured pending a search warrant. The firearm recovered was later determined to be a Glock 37 with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine.

Brown was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Offense, Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm 2nd Offense, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

At about 11:40 PM, Detectives executed a search warrant in the area of 880 Cummin Highway. As a result of the search warrant, the following firearms were recovered: a Diamondback Rifle with an obliterated serial number that was loaded with twenty rounds in the magazine, a Palmetto State Armory PA-15 with one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in the magazine, a Glock 19 with a magazine capable of holding thirty-one rounds, and a laser sight firearm attachment.

Detectives also recovered three large plastic bags of Cocaine, one plastic bag of Crack Cocaine, and one plastic bag of Fentanyl. Detectives later weighed the drugs and determined the Cocaine to be 449 grams, Crack Cocaine to be 134 grams, and the Fentanyl to weigh 61 grams. Detectives recovered drug packaging material, as well as a digital scale.
