Brighton Drug Control Unit Arrested Two Suspects for Drug Trafficking

At about 7:13 PM, on Wednesday, February 13, 2025, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) arrested Alexander DaSilva, 41, of Roxbury, and Kimberly Salcedo, 45, of Boston, were arrested for drug trafficking charges.

Officers were conducting a drug investigation in the area of 77 Warren Street. While maintaining surveillance, officers observed a vehicle park in front of the building. Shortly after, a female individual exited the building, and entered the car. The vehicle drove around the building before quickly dropping off the female individual. Officers believed that a street level drug transaction had transpired inside the vehicle.

Officers approached the female individual and advised her of the reason for the stop. Officers determined that the suspect had two warrants for her arrest, and recovered a plastic bag of crack cocaine. The drugs were later determined to weigh approximately thirty-one grams.

At this time, remaining Drug Control officers activated their cruisers’ lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle refused to stop and fled the scene towards Market Street and Washington Street. Officers observed the vehicle make a left turn onto Washington Street towards District D-14, and was stopped in heavy traffic.

Officers were now able to stop the vehicle and quickly placed the operator into handcuffs. Officers conducted a search incident to arrest and recovered a plastic bag containing twenty-one pills believed to be Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride, and approximately $1,337 in U.S. Currency.

Both suspects were placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class B. DaSilva was additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B. Officers also determined that Salcedo had two active warrants for her arrest. Both are expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
