Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested in Fatal Roxbury Hit-and-Run

Boston Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in Roxbury last month.

On January 18, 2025, at approximately 8:29 PM, Officers assigned to District D-4 responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at 1829 Washington Street.

Upon arrival, officers located two victims: 20-year-old Taylor Wilkinson, who was suffering from life-threatening injuries, and a 23-year-old female with minor injuries. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Wilkinson later succumbed to her injuries.

Following an extensive investigation conducted by the Boston Police Homicide Unit and the Fatal Collision Investigation Team, with assistance from the Crime Scene Response Unit and Crime Lab, Detectives identified the suspect as 36-year-old Christopher Baker of Boston.

Based on their findings, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Baker.

On February 12, 2025, at approximately 5:17 PM, officers from District D-4 (South End/Back Bay) located and arrested Baker near 100 Belvidere Street, Boston.

Baker is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on the following charges:

  • Motor Vehicle Homicide by Reckless Operation
  • Manslaughter
  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (2 counts)
  • Leaving the Scene—Causing Personal Injury & Death
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License
  • Speeding (Greater Than Reasonable & Proper)
  • Crosswalk Violation
  • Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
