At about 2:01 PM, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) arrested Keith Curtis, 39, of Athol, on various drug trafficking offenses.
Officers were conducting a drug investigation in the area of 19 Farrington Avenue. Officers observed a motor vehicle pull up to the building and block the driveway. The rear passenger exited the vehicle and walked to the back of the building. The suspect entered the building and exited after a few minutes. Officers observed a second male individual holding the door as he left. The suspect then reentered the vehicle and fled the area.
Officers believed that a drug transaction had transpired and maintained surveillance on the vehicle as it began traveling towards Cambridge Street. At this time, officers activated their cruiser’s emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. Officers made contact with the occupants and requested the rear passenger to exit the vehicle. After further investigation, officers recovered a plastic bag containing Fentanyl. Officers advised the suspect that he would be summonsed to court for Possession of Class A.
Officers who remained on Farrington Avenue observed a group of individuals exit the building carrying a duffel bag. Officers approached the group and identified themselves as Boston Police. The officers requested identification from the individuals, and all of them provided false information. Officers requested multiple times for their correct information which they refused.
Officers determined the real identities of the suspects and placed Michael Groden, 45, of Needham under arrest for Possession of Class A and various warrants, and Katherine Isaacs, 34, of Boston, on a warrant for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A.
After further investigation, officers recovered 79 grams of Fentanyl, 28 grams of Cocaine, and $1,928 in U.S. Currency from Curtis. He was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Fentanyl, Trafficking of Cocaine, and Possession of Class B. He is expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
