Homicide Victim Identified from Shipway Place in Charlestown

At 10:43 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2025 officers assigned to District 15 (Charlestown) responded to Shipway Place in Charlestown to investigate an incident on a houseboat. On arrival, officers located Joseph Donohue, 65, of Charlestown, non-viable. Further investigation determined that Donahue died from multiple stab wounds and the death was ruled a homicide.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
