Boston Police Recruit Class 65-25 Starts Police Academy Training

Boston Police Academy Class 65-25 officially began its journey, stepping into the Academy to embark on the training required to serve and protect the City of Boston.

As the first of two recruit classes for 2025, these 114 men and women represent the future of Community Policing in our city.

This class reflects the Department’s commitment to reflect the diversity of our City.

  • 29% are women, a big step as we work towards fulfilling the pledge the Mayor and Commissioner took to make 30% of our recruits women as part of taking the “30/30 Pledge”.
  • 68 recruits speak at least one additional language, including Spanish, Vietnamese, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Somali, American Sign Language, French, and Albanian—an asset for connecting with Boston’s diverse communities.
  • 36 were born outside the United States, and 8 are military veterans, contributing exceptional leadership and experience.

We extend our best wishes to Class 65-25 as they begin their training to uphold the values and mission of the Boston Police Department.

The future of policing in Boston starts here!
