On Monday, December 30, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested 45-year-old Dadizi Poles of Allston and 49-year-old Gregory Skillman of Dorchester for multiple motor vehicle, firearm, and drug-related offenses following a traffic stop at 43 Hartford Street in Dorchester.
While conducting a routine patrol on Blue Hill Avenue, Officers noticed a vehicle traveling inbound toward Quincy Street. A query of the vehicle’s license plate revealed that its insurance was revoked, and the registered owner’s driver’s license was suspended.
After observing the vehicle turn onto Quincy Street, Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle continued to travel at a slow pace before coming to a stop at 43 Hartford Street.
Upon approaching the vehicle, Officers identified the driver as Gregory Skillman and the passenger as Dadizi Poles. After confirming that Skillman did not have a valid driver’s license, officers took him into custody. During the investigation, Poles was removed from the vehicle, where Officers discovered a plastic bag containing a white, rock-like substance believed to be crack cocaine.
A subsequent search revealed that Poles was concealing a firearm in her bra. Officers safely retrieved the weapon and requested District B-2 Detectives to process it. The firearm was identified as a Ruger LCP .380 Auto, equipped with a laser sight, one round in the chamber, and five rounds in the magazine.
Both Skillman and Poles were placed in custody and transported to District B-2 for booking. During the booking process, Officers recovered additional suspected cocaine from Poles’ wallet.
Both individuals are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on the following charges:
Gregory Skillman:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License
- Operating a Motor Vehicle with Revoked Insurance
- Possession of a Class B Substance
Dadizi Poles:
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
