Investigation Update: At about 7:20 PM, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) arrested John Ahearn, 28, of South Boston, following a traffic stop in the area of Dorchester Avenue and W Broadway. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted for two counts of Breaking and Entering into a Building in the Daytime for a Felony, and Stalking. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: On Sunday, December 22, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of Codman Street for a report of a Breaking and Entering. Officers were advised that the suspect damaged the front door and made entrance into the apartment.
