Investigation Update: At about 7:58 PM, on Friday, October 18, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Marvin Chery, 27, of Boston, in the area of 244 Almost Street following a traffic stop. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Offense, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Attempted Assault and Battery with a Firearm, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building, and Destruction of Property. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 11:16 AM, on Friday, September 27, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 468 Harvard Street for a report of shots fired. Officers located ballistic evidence on scene and no injured parties.
