At about 12:42 AM, on Friday, October 11, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Misael Fuentes, 36, of Dorchester, on multiple breaking and entering charges.
Officers were aware of a BRIC flyer for an identification wanted of a suspect involved in a string of Breaking and Entering incidents on Shetland Street. While on patrol, officers observed a suspect matching the description in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Southwood Street.
Officers observed the suspect standing on an electric scooter, and attempted to speak with him. As officers approached the suspect, he fled the area. Officers were able to follow the suspect and observed him lose control of the scooter and crash into a chain link fence in the area of 19 Forest Street. The suspect attempted to run from officers, but was quickly apprehended.
Officers conducted an inquiry of the suspect’s identification and determined that he had five active warrants for his arrest for various Breaking and Entering charges. The suspect was additionally charged with Leaving the Scene of Property Damage and Failure to Stop for Police. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
Detectives were able to determine that the suspect was involved in multiple Breaking and Entering incidents on Shetland Street and will seek further criminal complaints.
