At about 12:11 PM, on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, Officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested Neal Bain, 62, of Boston, for Unarmed Robbery after responding to a radio call for a robbery in-progress at a bank located at 33 State St.
Upon arrival, Officers spoke with employees of the bank who stated that an adult male entered the bank and conducted a robbery. The suspect fled on-foot with an undetermined amount of US Currency stolen from the bank. Officers were provided a description of the suspect and began a search of the area.
During their search, Officers located the suspect inside the Boston Commons and after an investigation placed him in custody.
Neal Bain was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the charge of Unarmed Robbery. Bain also had an active warrant for his arrest and is expected to be arraigned for the charge of Shoplifting by Asportation.
