At about 3:20 PM, on Monday, September 16, 2024, members of the Drug Control Units of Districts D-4 (South End) and E-5 (Roslindale/West Roxbury) arrested Eddie Watkins, 47, of Boston, and Frederick Bourett, 55, of Brighton, on drug trafficking charges.
Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 43 Claybourne Street. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered about 400 grams of Crack Cocaine, 33 grams of Fentanyl, 55 rounds of ammunition, and approximately $1,917 in U.S. currency. Officers also recovered multiple scales, drug cutting agents, and various drug packaging material.
Watkins was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class A, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B. The suspect also had an active warrant for Distribution of Class B. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
Bourett was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class A, Trafficking of Class B, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
