Investigation Update: On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, U.S. Marshals arrested Edwin Santo, 22, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Members of the Boston Police Department were able to track down the suspect’s location and provide it to U.S. Marshals. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was wanted on warrants issued out of Roxbury District Court for Two Counts of Armed Robbery to wit Firearm, and Assault and Battery to wit firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
Santo was wanted for a string of gold chain robberies that have occurred in Districts B-2 (Roxbury), B-3 (Mattapan), and District E-18 (Hyde Park). All of the victim’s from these incidents were sixty years old or older.
