BPD in the Community: Boston Police Hosts MAWLE & Me Camp

It was a week of future female leaders getting to know the world of law enforcement, one on one with some of its current leaders!

The 5th Annual MAWLE & Me Camp did it again…and Boston Police was proud to host a variety of events to give these future leaders an inside look at what we do!

Highlights included:

·         Crime scene investigations with District B-2 and the FBI 👀

·         Tours of the BPD Operations Center and Crime Lab 📷💻📞

·         Advice from various Command Staff Members 🤝

·         Meeting Copper, our comfort dog in training 🐶

·         K9 demos and life saving certification through our ‘Stop the Bleed’ Program 🐕‍🦺💉

·         Public speaking and media training from our Media Relations Office 🗣

Thanks to the Vanessa Marcotte Foundation and the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office for self-defense training and other support.

Visits to Boston Municipal Court, Top Golf ⛳ and our friends at the MA State Police and even our State Attorney General spent some time with these young ladies.

Thank you to the BPPA for hosting the campers throughout the week at their Dorchester Union Hall and everyone who made this week unforgettable. Here’s to our future leaders!
