At about 5:56 PM, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Kris Jennings, 64, of Boston, on ABDW charges.
Officers responded to the area of 352 Newbury Street for a report of a fight. Shortly after, Boston Police Operations advised officers that a person was stabbed in front of the Boston Firehouse at 941 Boylston Street.
Boston Firefighters began to render aid to the victim, and requested Boston EMS to respond to the scene. Another firefighter was able to stop the suspect, and recovered a knife. Officers were then able to place the suspect into handcuffs.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Jennings was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
