It takes a village!
The JP HUB is back in person!
Officers from District E-13 joined 25 of our community partners to help create a safer community in Jamaica Plain. The HUB is a new approach to proactively address and prevent crises before they happen. BPD participates in HUB tables across the City. The model is a new way of utilizing existing resources in unified ways. During Hub meetings, BPD and various service providers meet to confidentially discuss the needs of community members who require support outside of what the police can address on their own. Meetings like this help give officers a better idea of what their communities need and strengthens the bond between the BPD and our local partners.
