The Boston Police Department honored the bravery and service of some of its own and several of our partners in a recent ceremony.
Commissioner Cox and members of the Command Staff presented commendations to officers and detectives for apprehending violent suspects involved in arson, drugs, robberies, shootings, and firearms. The calm and decisive action of our 911 dispatchers was honored, as was the wonderful team from the City of Boston Language Access Office for their many layers of assistance to BPD via the City’s language line, American Sign Language interpretation and the translation of vital documents and outreach materials. This collaboration has led to improved services to our residents and visitors.
Commendations were also given to our Community Service Officers for their efforts promoting healthy lifestyles, instilling life skills, creating cultural awareness, creating safe spaces, as well as helping local schools and students. BPD also took the chance to thank great partners in the business community, like Yankee bus, for their support of BPD and public safety in our City.
We congratulate all who were honored and thank you for your service!
