If You’re Attending the Boston Celtics 2024 NBA Finals Victory Parade, BPD Encourages You to Have Fun, Enjoy the Day and Celebrate Responsibly:
Four days after the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks to take home their 18th NBA Championship, Mayor Michelle Wu and the citizens of Boston will gather to celebrate the Boston Celtics NBA Title. The Rolling Rally is scheduled for Friday, June 21, 2024. It will depart TD Garden on Causeway Street at 11:00am and travel the 90 minute route to The Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street.
Those attending the rally are asked to dress accordingly for the forecasted weather. Fans are reminded that the parade is a family-friendly event. There will be no tolerance for public drinking or disorderly, disruptive behavior.
Climbing or standing on mailboxes, bus vestibules, rooftops or light polls is prohibited. In light of the large number of street closures and limited parking along the parade route, the use of public transportation is strongly encouraged.
There will be multiple security measures in place including a list of prohibited items to ensure the safety of all attending the Boston Celtics Rolling Rally. As such, BPD is asking and encouraging parade-goers to leave certain items at home. That list of prohibited items includes the following:
Alcoholic beverages
Large bags, coolers or glass containers
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), commonly referred to as ‘drones’, along the parade route
Weapons of any kind (or replicas of such)
Fireworks
Lastly, we remind all who attend the parade to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity. The BPD will have uniformed officers all along the parade route so if you see something suspicious, please say something to our officers.
