At about 1:40 AM, on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, Officers assigned to B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Jacob L. Grayson, 39, of Dorchester, following an early morning traffic stop at 33 Woodward Ave, Roxbury.
Officers were stopped at a red light while on patrol in Roxbury, when they observed a white BMW driving in the opposite direction with a headlight out. Upon further observation of the BMW, Officers realized the vehicle was also of interest to law enforcement because of its involvement in a recent and on-going investigation. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop.
After initiating the traffic stop, Officers approached the vehicle and the operator identified himself as Jacob L. Grayson. An investigation followed and lead to the recovery of a loaded large capacity firearm located below the driver’s seat on the floor board of the vehicle.
Detectives assigned to District B-2 retrieved the firearm from the floorboard and determined that the firearm recovered was a Ghost Gun (9MM), containing 1 high-capacity magazine that was loaded with 29 (9MM) rounds in the magazine, and 1 (9MM) round in the chamber.
Jacob L. Grayson was arrested and is expected to be arraigned at Roxbury District Court for the charges of Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License 2nd Offense, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card, and Firearm Violation with Three Prior Violent and/or Drug Crimes. Grayson was also issued a Mass Uniform Citation for a Number Plate Violation and Miscellaneous Motor Vehicle Equipment Violation.
