Investigation Update: At about 3:37 PM, on Friday, May 31, 2024, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force made an onsite warrant arrest of Keon Baker, 33, of Boston, in the area of 3 Monadnock Street. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was wanted on warrants out of Dorchester District Court for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building. He was arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Detectives from Area B-2 applied for, and were granted, a search warrant for 3 Monadnock Street which was executed on Saturday. June 1, 2024. During the search, Detectives located and seized three firearms and ammunition from the dwelling.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows: At about 10:42 PM, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of 725 Dudley Street for a report of a shot spotter activation. Upon arrival, officers located ballistic evidence on scene. Officers searched the area for any victims or suspects to no avail.
