At about 11:16 PM on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, Officers assigned District to B-2 (Roxbury) made an arrest of Joshua Carvahlo, 25-years-old, of Foxboro, for multiple firearm and drug related offenses at 60 Annunciation Road, Roxbury.
Officers received a radio call to respond to 60 Annunciation Road for a large group of over 30 people fist fighting. Officers approached the Annunciation Housing development and observed a very large group of people drinking and congregating, causing a disturbance to the other individuals who live in the area.
Officers observed a male wearing all black separate himself from a group of individuals and walk behind a parked motor vehicle. Officers then observed the same individual bend over under the vehicle that was parked and quickly stand back up right and walk back towards the group. Officers went and walked behind the vehicle and recovered a firearm from the inside of a sock.
Officers placed the suspect under arrest and returned to district B-2 to begin the booking process. During the booking process, officers located a large bag, weighing approximately 14 grams, of a white rocklike substance believed to be crack cocaine on the suspect’s person.
District B-2 Detectives later determined the firearm to be a black Ruger LCP .380 auto with a metallic feeding device. The firearm contained 6 rounds of .380 ammunition in the feeding device and no rounds in the chamber. The serial number was obliterated.
Joshua Carvahlo is expected to be arraigned at Roxbury District Court for the charges of Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card, Defacing Serial Number of a Firearm, Firearm Possession with 1 Prior Violent and/or Drug Crime, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs.
