Investigation Update: On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, members of the Fugitive Unit made an onsite warrant arrest of Joseph Flynn, 39, of Brighton, in the area of 19 Farrington Avenue. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was wanted on warrants out of South Boston District Court for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault with a dangerous weapon. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows: At about 8:35 PM, on Thursday, April 11, 2024, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to the area of 142 D Street for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers observed an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
