BPD in the Community: District E-13 and the Bureau of Community Engagement Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month at the Mendell School

Officers from District E-13 and the Bureau of Community Engagement visited the Mendell School in Roxbury to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by reading the book Watercress!

The students shared stories about their favorite fruits and vegetables after learning about how to find, pick and grow Watercress from the reading.

Learning about various cultures and new experiences is always a great day at work or school. We thank our partners at the Lingzi Foundation and Read Boston for making a series of readings at various schools happen this month, and for making BPD a part of the fun!
