In celebration of National Autism Acceptance Month, we’d love to introduce you to the BPD’s Inclusion Officer and the many trainings and program BPD is involved with!
Officer Michelle Maffeo has been serving the City of Boston for 28 years. She assists BPD in continually bettering our officer’s training and increasing our interactions with individuals living with physical and cognitive challenges. Officer Maffeo has done a great deal of work to promote Autism Awareness in law enforcement, she brings her own lived experience to the Department and we are better for it.
