Drug Control Units Arrests Two in Mattapan And Recover Firearms, Drugs, And U.S. Currency

At about 2:00 PM, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, members of the C-6, B-3, and A-1 Drug Control Units along with Anti-Crime Units from B-2 and B-3 arrested Angel Ruiz, 29, of Roxbury, in the area of 1509 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan.

Officers were in possession of two search warrants, one for Angel’s body and one for his residence. Ruiz was placed under arrest on Blue Hill Ave after officers located crack cocaine on his body.

The search warrant for his residence on Almont Street was executed after officers arrested Ruiz.  Raymond Richardson, 55 of Mattapan, was located in the residence and was arrested on several unrelated warrants.

The following items were seized from Angel Ruiz’s residence:

.357 Ruger Revolver

FM9 9MM AR Pistol

50 Round Drum Magazine

 40 Round High-Capacity Magazine

15 Round High-Capacity Magazine

180 Rounds of Assorted Ammunition

Approximately 30 Grams of Crack Cocaine

Approximately 10 Grams of Fentanyl

$7,736 in US Currency

Ruiz was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, trafficking class A, and trafficking class B.

He is expected to be arraigned in the Dorchester District Court.
