At about 3:54 PM, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) arrested Jailyn Jiminian, 25, of Roxbury, and Jeanette Guzman, 28, of Quincy, on firearm and drug charges.
Officers were conducting a firearm and drug investigation in the area of 120 Antwerp Street when they observed a male exit an apartment building and enter the rear of a motor vehicle. Officers observed the male individual in the vehicle for approximately one minute before exiting and returning back to the apartment. Officers believed that a street level drug transaction had occurred.
Officers observed the vehicle leave the area, and start traveling towards Soldiers Field Road. Officers continued to follow, and observed the vehicle operating at a high rate of speed and weaving through multiple lanes.
Officers were able to stop the motor vehicle with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police, in the area of Storrow Drive, prior to the Copley Square exit. Officers made contact with the two occupants, advised them of the stop, and requested they exit the vehicle.
After further investigation, officers recovered a firearm and multiple packages of marijuana from inside the vehicle. The firearm was later determined to be a Polymer 80 with eleven rounds in the magazine.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and charged with: Unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, and possession with intent to distribute class D. Both are expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
