Two Suspects Arrested After an Unarmed Robbery in Back Bay

At about 3:00 PM, on Monday, February 12, 2024, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Antonio Packard-Wade, 19, of Dorchester, and a 17-year-old juvenile female following an unarmed robbery.

Officers responded to the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Dartmouth Street for a report of a group of juveniles who had recently robbed a victim on Newbury Street. Officers were advised by Boston Police Operations of a description of the suspects and their direction of flight. Several District 4 officers converged on the area, and were advised by witnesses that the group had recently broken into a motor vehicle and were walking towards the Boston Common.

Officers observed three individuals matching the description, and stopped them on Marlborough Street. Officers were advised that three more individuals were hiding inside 66 Marlborough Street. Responding officers were able to detain two more suspects, and the third attempted to flee the area. A brief foot pursuit ensued, and officers were able to place the suspect into handcuffs.

Officers were able to identify the two suspects who robbed the victim, and were able to recover the stolen items.

Packard-Wade was placed under arrest and charged with: Receiving stolen property. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

The 17-year-old juvenile female was placed under arrest and charged with: Delinquent to wit; unarmed robbery, and delinquent to wit; receiving stolen property. She is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
