At about 12:40 PM, on Friday, February 9, 2024, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested Jammar Smith, 41, of Boston, on drug related charges.
Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation to address quality of life complaints of those who live and work in the Bowdoin Street Area. The District C-11 Community Service Office worked with community members to determine the ongoing issues.
After a lengthy drug investigation, drug unit officers were able to identify the suspect and seek an arrest warrant for distribution of class B, Crack Cocaine. Officers placed the suspect under arrest in the area of 213 Bowdoin Street. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
