On Thursday, January 25, 2024, around 11:40 PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Stephenson King, 37, of Dorchester, on firearm-related charges.
Responding to a call regarding a person with a gun at 570 Dudley St, officers discovered the suspect peacefully sleeping on the stairs inside the building, with the handle of a firearm visible under his sweatshirt. The officers discreetly retrieved the firearm without waking him, subsequently waking him to effect the arrest. The seized firearm was identified as a 9mm Polymer 80, loaded with 3 live rounds in the magazine and 1 round in the chamber. The magazine had the capacity for a total of 17 rounds of ammunition.
The suspect faces charges including Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity feeding device, and Possession of Ammunition. He is set to be arraigned at Roxbury District Court.
