BPD in the Community: Officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) held a 2 day Stop the Bleed training at the Wentworth Institute for Technology, the training was held for the Annual B.C.Y.F Employee Academy.
“Stop the Bleed” is a course where officers teach the community three quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out. The officers taught the group how to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound, how to pack a wound to control bleeding, & how to correctly apply a tourniquet.
