At about 4:17 PM, on Friday, December 15, 2023, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Wayne O’Keefe, 50, of Braintree.
Officers received information from the Boston Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC) to be on the lookout for a motor vehicle of interest involved in a breaking and entering at 47 Newbury Street on Monday, December 11, 2023.
Officers assigned to District 4 located and stopped the motor vehicle in the area of 11 Melnea Cass Boulevard. The operator of the motor vehicle was placed under arrest for various violations of the auto laws. The operator was also in possession of illegal narcotics at the time of the stop.
O’Keefe was placed under arrest and charged with: Operating a motor vehicle without a license, unregistered motor vehicle, number plate violation, and possession of class A and B drugs.
After further investigation, the suspect will be charged with the Burglary at the Valentino Store at 47 Newbury Street.
O’Keefe will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court on Monday morning.
