At about 4:27 PM, on Monday, December 11, 2023, detectives assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) were conducting an ongoing firearm investigation in the area of Bowdoin Street.
Detectives executed a search warrant and recovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm with one round in the chamber and 17 rounds in the magazine. Detectives also recovered a 9mm “drum” magazine loaded with 42 rounds of ammunition.
The suspect, Jahnine Francois, 20, of Boston, was in custody from a prior incident and will be additionally charged with: Unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
