Drug Control Units Recovered Trafficking Amounts of Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine in Roxbury

At about 12:09 PM, on Friday, November 10, 2023, officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District D-4 (South End) District E-5 (Roslindale/West Roxbury) and the Human Trafficking Unit arrested Keon Leary, 44, of Boston, and Christopher Brown, 56, of Roxbury, on drug trafficking charges.

Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 111 Homestead Street. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered approximately 95 grams of Fentanyl, 237 grams of Crack Cocaine, 67 various pills, 6 plastic bags of marijuana, and $4,033 in U.S. currency. Officers also recovered a firearm which was later determined to be a Sig Sauer P365 with 11 rounds in the magazine.

Leary was placed under arrest and charged with: Trafficking of class A, trafficking of class B, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, possession with intent to distribute class B, possession with intent to distribute class C, and possession with intent to distribute class D. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

Brown was placed under arrest and charged with: Trafficking of class A, trafficking of class B, possession with intent to distribute class B, possession with intent to distribute class C, and possession with intent to distribute class D. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
