On Monday November 6, 2023 at approximately 1:45am officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Erik D. Campbell, 39, of Dorchester on firearm related charges.
Officers were on patrol in the area of Mass Ave and Columbia Road when the suspects vehicle was observed failing to stop for a red light at the intersection. The officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and learned the suspects license was also suspended. The officers issued an exit order and placed the suspect under arrest for operating without a license. Upon conducting the inventory search of the suspects vehicle, the officer located a black and silver firearm directly underneath the driver’s seat. The firearm was later determined to be a Kahr Arms model# CM40, loaded with 7 Rounds in a magazine and none in the chamber.
Campbell was placed under arrest and charged with: Unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
