Investigation Update: Two Arrests Made in Connection to the Greenock Street Homicide

On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, members of the Fugitive Unit with the assistance of the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested Kevin Facey, 28, of Randolph, in Providence, Rhode Island. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was wanted on warrants that were issued out of Dorchester District Court for Murder, Armed Assault to Murder, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Carrying a Firearm without a License. Facey is charged as a Fugitive from Justice in Providence. He will eventually be arraigned for the Murder in Dorchester District Court.

At about 7:40 AM, on Thursday, November 2, 2023, members of the Homicide Unit, Fugitive Unit, the Massachusetts State Police and Nantucket Police, arrested Tevin Herman, 31, of Nantucket, in the area of 49 Nobsdeer Farm Road, Nantucket. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was wanted on warrants that were issued out of Dorchester District Court for Murder, Armed Assault to Murder, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Carrying a Firearm without a License. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows: At about 5:26 AM, on Saturday, September 9, 2023, officers assigned to District B-3 (Dorchester/Mattapan) responded to 12 Greenock Street for a report of a person shot. On arrival, the officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as Princess Charles, 29, of Quincy. A second victim, who was shot multiple times at the same location, was located at a local hospital suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
