BPD in the Community: Officers assigned to the District A-1 (Downtown) Community Service Team, Bureau of Community Engagement, and seniors from the North End took a fun trip to Salem MA. Members of the group learned a little about Salem’s History, the main wharf, the Custom House and went inside the historic Derby house and learned about the family history. The main hallways and rooms are small but the house was considered a mansion when built. After the tour was completed, the group strolled through main street, visited local shops, and then enjoyed a delicious lunch.
