At about 1:17 PM, on Saturday, October 14, 2023, officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Unit of District B-3 (Mattapan) made an on-site firearm arrest of Kevin Lee, 18, of Dorchester.
Officers were on patrol in the area of 159 Intervale Street when they observed a group congregating in the area. Officers were aware that one of the individuals had an active warrant for his arrest. Officers approached the suspect, and placed him into handcuffs.
Officers conducted a search incident to arrest and recovered a loaded firearm from the suspect’s front pant pocket. The firearm was later determined to be a Kel-Tec P-11 with five rounds in the chamber.
Lee was placed under arrest and charged with: Unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition. The suspect’s warrant was for Unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
