The nationally recognized Faith & Blue Initiative strengthens police-community bonds by uniting law enforcement, faith-based institutions and the community. The Boston Police Department has been an engaged, supportive and participating partner of this endeavor since its inception in 2020. Faith-based partnerships are a powerful motivator to addressing some of the communities most challenging issues, including addressing violence, quality of life issues and building trust.
This morning members of the Boston Police and our K-9’s attended Mass at St. Cecilia’s Church in the Back Bay to kick off a week of events. At the end of Mass, Fr. John Unni celebrated the Blessing of the Animals.
