BPD in the Community: On Monday, September 25, 2023, Officers assigned to the Community Service Offices of District A-1 (Downtown) and E-13 (Jamaica Plain) assembled at the Saint Anthony Shrine at 100 Arch Street to serve lunch and share stories with Veterans from Boston. Each month the Saint Anthony Shrine hosts Veterans from the New England Center and Home for Veterans for an appreciation luncheon.
This special time brings together community volunteers, outreach organizers, local veterans, and the Franciscan Friars of Saint Anthony Shrine to have some laughs and enjoy a hot lunch together. Also serving up the meal alongside our Officers were Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police and Boston’s own Medal of Honor recipient, Retired Navy Captain Tom Kelley!
