BPD IN THE COMMUNITY: On September 9, 2023, Officers from the A1 Community Service Office and District Patrol Officers joined the Chinatown Main Street Association in their annual Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival, complete with street vendors, music, dancing, and theatrical displays. On this day, the Chinese believe that the Moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn. Lanterns of all shapes & sizes are carried and displayed – symbolic beacons that light people’s path to prosperity and good fortune.
