Investigation Update: At about 6:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023, members of the BPD Fugitive Unit and officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Trevon Wideman, 19, of Boston in the area of 16 Kineo Street, Dorchester. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on Murder, Armed Assault to Rob with a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm warrants from Dorchester District Court for the homicide of Mario Santos, 22, of Dorchester. The suspect will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows: At about 7:39 PM, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to the area of 59 Wilrose Street for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased on scene, and the other victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
