At about 3:07 PM, on Thursday, Augst 24, 2023, Officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Charlene Hammond, 47, of Boston, on drug trafficking charges.
Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation in the area of Atkinson Street and Bradston Street. Officers observed what they believed was multiple street level drug transactions. Officers observed a female suspect exit a tent, who they were aware had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
Officers approached the female and placed her into handcuffs without incident. Officers searched the tent and recovered approximately 75 grams of Crystal Meth, 28 grams of Fentanyl, and 10 grams of Crack Cocaine.
Hammond was placed under arrest and charged with; Trafficking of Class A, Trafficking of Class B, Two Counts of Possession of with Intent to Distribute Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class C. She is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
