At about 6:13 PM, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested, Michael Josey, 62, of Boston, on Assault and Battery Charges.
Officers responded to the area of 493 Blue Hill Avenue for a report of a person stabbed. Officers were advised by Operations that the victim was stabbed with a screw driver, and the suspect fled the scene. Officers observed a male matching the description fleeing the area with a screw driver in his hand. Officers stopped the suspect, and he was placed into handcuffs.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Josey was placed under arrest and charged with; Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
