Victim Identified and Suspect Charged with Murder in Blue Hill Avenue and Washington Street Homicide

At about 7:47 PM, on Sunday, July 30, 2023, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Washington Street for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located Jackson Beausejour, 33, of Mattapan suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced.

As a result, on an ongoing investigation, Detectives from the Homicide Unit charged Riccardy Romain, 51, of Chesterfield, VA with Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
